Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez reportedly hanged himself in his prison cell just a week after he was found not guilty in a double murder trail. Hernandez played for the Patriots from 2010 to 2012.

On June 17th, 2013, Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player and friend of Aaron Hernandez, was shot to death. After compelling evidence led the police to Hernandez, he was then arrested where he was found guilty of murder in the first degree ending his career in the NFL forever. Hernandez was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole at just the age of 25.
